Early 2015, Offshore Wind Services B.V. (OWS), was sold to Acta Marine and management (operational, technical, commercial and HSE/QA) remained with Workships Contractors B.V. until the end of 2016. OWS was renamed Acta Marine Wind Services B.V. (AMWS) and remains dedicated to providing Crew Transfer Vessels (CTV) to the offshore industry.

Background

In 2011 Workships Contractors B.V. set up "Offshore Wind Services B.V." (OWS) as a separate entity focussing on the Crew Transfer Market for the European offshore renewables segment. As part of the accelerated growth strategy, in 2012, OWS acquired one of the best known operators in the offshore wind crew transfer industry, Offshore Wind Power Marine Services Ltd. (OWPMS). In parallel, five (5) new purpose-build vessels were brought into the fleet, wherby one vessel was divested for fleet rationalisation purposes.

OWS has provided successful services, as well as been instrumental in developing many of the safety policies and innovations that are standard in the industry today.

In the first quarter of 2015 OWS was divested to Acta marine, whereby Workships Contractors B.V. as sellers retained full management (operational, technical, commercial and HSE/QA until the end of 2016.
